About Us

Matrix III Income Tax Service, LLC is a year round tax and financial firm established in Garfield Heights, Ohio in 2002.  The founders of Matrix III are Paul and Steve Cook, father and son.  Together the two opened their own practice after leaving a northeast Ohio firm.  Paul has since retired from day to day operations but still has an active interest.

Matrix III Income Tax Service, LLC offers investment advisory and tax preparation services to individuals, small businesses, estates, and trust accounts.  The firm is comprised of an association of Tax, Investment, and Legal Professionals.  The team of professionals are committed to helping individuals and small businesses save money on their taxes.  They achieve this goal by utilizing established ethical tax and investment strategies identified through education, training, experience, and technology.

We provide these services in a state of the art paperless working environment using a family style business model.  The family style culture emphasizes our founding principles of respect, courtesy, and consideration to our clients and workforce.

Steven P. Cook

Steven P. Cook is the owner and co-founder of Matrix III Income Tax Service, LLC.  Steve directs and co-ordinates the activities of the III service areas provided by the firm, I. Tax, II.  Investment and III.  Legal.

At Matrix III our core philosophy is to put the needs of our individual clients first.  We believe the relationship with the client is the most important asset we have.

Steve graduated from Indiana Wesleyan University with a Bachelor of Science in Management degree with a minor in Computer Science.  Steve is an Enrolled Agent, Registered Representative, Notary Public, and Honorably Discharged from the United States Army.  He honors his commitment to God, Country, and Community with integrity and ethics while exceeding client expectations of service, knowledge, opportunity, and guidance.

Linda Jackman

Linda Jackman is a tax return preparer.  Linda has been professionally completing tax returns since 2009.  She began her career at a major franchise before joining Matrix III Income Tax Service in 2010.  She is uniquely proficient in foreign income cases, correspondence audits, back taxes, FAFSA, and change accounting method that affects small businesses and rental properties.

Mrs. Jackman is a veteran of the United States Navy.  After the Navy, she worked in Public Service until retiring.   Linda’s work history is a testament to her being an advocate for individual rights. As a tax professional with a high sense of ethics is demonstrated with the principle that every client should pay no more or less than the correct amount of tax.

Linda is wonderfully gifted with the abilities to cook, stitch, and quilt.   The love of her hobbies is clear with mouth-watering meals and intricate beautiful fabric designs.  She is also, a Star Trek enthusiast but also likes the Star Wars movies.  An individual would have a hard time asking her a Star Trek trivia question she would not know.

Linda would like hear about your favorite crock-pot recipes to try.  She is collecting family favorite recipes to add to her own cookbook.

Jennifer Parrish

For more than a decade Jennifer Parrish has been sharing her knowledge and experience about budgeting, financial literacy, and generational wealth.  She encourages everyone to learn more about the benefits of having a financial plan.  Clients find Jennifer’s positivity an inspiration to get started or further develop an existing plan to reach their financial goals.

Outside the office, Jennifer is committed to her family and friends.  She is a fan of Harry Potter, Law and Order: SVU, and Chicago P.D.

Jennifer graduated from Indiana Wesleyan University in October, 2020 with a Master Business Administration and in December, 2011 a Bachelor of Science in Management.

Jennifer is an AFSP – Record of Completion, Ohio licensed Life Insurance Agent for Lincoln Heritage Life Insurance Company, and a veteran of the United States Air Force.

Her favorite principle to live by is to help others as found in: “Do unto others as you would want done unto you” (Luke 6:31, NIV).

John Debelak

John Debelak is a retired respiratory and physical therapist assistant. To continue his passion for helping people John chose to go back to work in an important and meaningful way as a tax preparer. He has a certificate in accounting and has completed the NAEAVA chapter 12-week tax academy course.

John is a devoted family man. He is married to his beloved wife Barbara. He has a stepson and two wonderful grandsons. He enjoys sharing in their journey through life. When not spending precious time with family John has a few favorite hobbies, coin collecting and lighthouses.

John’s favorite principle to live by is to help others with the strengths found within oneself as found in: “And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.” (Hebrews 13:16, NIV).
